† Great Britain Postal History 1864 sheet of blue paper from Rowland Hill´s private papers in the hand of Caroline Hill (Hills wife), being part of an entry relating to letters of thanks sent to those persons who had supported him during his Post Office reforms and had contributed to the testimonial for his superannuation fund, the sheet headed "1864 June 15th continued" being copies of Hill´s letter to Gladstone: in which he refers to the Lords Palmerston and Granville and thanks them "for the very handsome & gratifying manner in which my services have been recognised"; and Gladstone´s reply of the same day.
