France 1849-52 First Issue 1851 (1 Aug.) quadruple rate cover from Calais to London bearing 1fr. carmine, 40c. orange and 20c. black (three margins) tied by grille obliterators; the 40c. affected by filing crease and cover with side flaps removed, but despite these imperfections, a very rare and splendid franking.
