Gube, view of the Triumphal Arch, the spire of the Romanoff Mausoleum Church within the fortress of Saints Peter and Paul in the centre background, signed ´architect Stasov, engraved by H. Gube´ below, rev. ten line inscription between trophies of arms, 84mm. x 60mm., 9.90 troy ounces (Diakov 541.1-R5; Smirnov 491), a few very minor marks, otherwise extremely fine, extremely rare Estimate £ 15,000-25,000 This superb gold plaque commemorates the victories of the the Russian Armies in Persia, Turkey, and during the suppression of the rebellion in Poland, between 1826-1831.
