M.G.C.), good very fine and scarce to a War-raised unit Estimate £ 300-320 6608 Company Sergeant Major Oliver Mason, enlisted as L/8880 Private, East Kent Regiment; advanced Company Quarter Master Sergeant; served with the Regiment in France from 7.9.1914; transferred to 3rd Battalion, Machine Gun Training Centre as Company Sergeant Major, 6.5.1919. Entitled to a 1914 Star and Bar, British War Medal, and Victory Medal. One of 112 L.S. & G.C.s to the Machine Gun Corps.
