General Service 1918-62, G.V.R., one clasp, N.W. Persia (86199 Pte. J. Mc Wattie. M.G.C.), minor edge bruise, otherwise extremely fine Estimate £ 100-150 86199 Private James McWattie, later served as 7817416 Private, 15 Light Arm Motor Battery, Tank Corps 15 Light Armoured Motor Battery was formed in Egypt, July 1917 by conversion of 17 Motor Machine Gun Battery, with eight Rolls Royce cars ex- 4, 5 & 10 (RN) Light Armoured Motor Batteries; to Mesopotamia in August 1917 as Army Troops. Joined Light Armoured Motor Brigade in February 1918. Post-War served in Norperforce, October 1918- March 1921 under command of 13 (Indian) (M) Brigade in Jan- Dec 1920. In January 1921 Battery became Nos 1 & 2 Sections of No 1 Armoured Car Company, Tank Corps, at Kasvin. Mar 1921 in Mesopotamia, cars adapted for railway use.
