Peters), good very fine (5) Estimate £ 110-130 Lieutenant Sidney Francis Peters, enlisted as PS-3137 Private, 21st Battalion, Royal Fusiliers; served with the Regiment in France from 14.11.1915; Commissioned Second Lieutenant, Machine Gun Corps, 25.9.1916, and served with 16th Battalion, part of 16th (Irish) Division; transferred 47 (London) Division; taken Prisoner of War in the Flesquières salient on the First day of the German March offensive, 21.3.1918, and remained in captivity until end of the war.
