Corps. 41891 Sergeant Arthur James Jones, M.M., enlisted as 5497 Private, 12th Lancers, 4.6.1914; served in France from 18.10.1915; transferred 5th Cavalry Squadron, Machine Gun Corps on its formation, 26.2.1916, from Machine Gun elements of the 2 Dragoons, 12 Lancers, 20 Hussars, and ´E´ Battery, Royal Horse Artillery; discharged as a result of gunshot wound to right thigh, 26.3.1919 Sergeant Broadhurst won his Military Medal for the Somme.
