Pair: Lieutenant E.J. Chambers, 50th Foot Punniar Star 1843 (Ensign E.J. Chambers 50th Queens Own Regt), with old replacement brass hook, original fittings, and silver straight bar suspension; Sutlej for Moodkee 1845-46, one clasp, Ferozeshuhur (Lieut: E:J: Chambers 50th Regt.), light contact marks to edge of latter, otherwise good very fine or better (2) Estimate £ 800-900 Lieutenant Edward John Chambers, commissioned Ensign 50th Foot, 1841; Lieutenant 1843; transferred Ceylon Rifle Corps, 1851; transferred 17th Foot, 1853. Published transcription of roll gives Chambers as wounded at Moodkee (18.12.1845) and entitled to medal only for the Sutlej, however his service papers give him as ´wounded severely in the leg at Ferozeshuhur 21st December 1845´ and entitled to medal and clasp for the Sutlej.
