James IV, light coinage, c.1496-1513, Groat, 2.29g., Edinburgh, m.m. crown, bust facing crowned in tressure of seven arches, no trefoils on top two cusps, a mullet to each side of neck, legend ending qra, rev. long cross fourchée with trefoil of three pellets in first and third quarters and a mullet of five points in the second and fourth quarters (St.124iiic; S.5341), scratches on king´s face, slightly double struck in places on obverse, nearly very fine, rare Estimate £ 600-700 With an old collectors ticket.
