x CANADA Campaign, Expedition and Military Mail 1872 (22 Mar.) blue O.H.M.S. envelope (222x98mm.) from a Captain in the 5th. Royal Lancashire Militia to England, "O.H.M.S." deleted as not valid on mail abroad and bearing Large Queen 6c. yellow-brown (2, one defective) each cancelled with duplex, Blackburn and Clitheroe c.d.s (both 5.4) on reverse; the envelope with a few faults, as to be expected with an item of this size, though most unusual.
