Nicholls Wilts. R.); British War and Victory Medals (13745 Pte. F.A. Nicholls Wilts. R.), extremely fine Victory Medal (GS-82148 Pte. W.H. Nicholls R. Fus.), extremely fine, with Great War Bronze Memorial Plaque ´Walter Henry Nicholls´ (lot) Estimate £ 340-380 W.G., F.A. and W.H. Nicholls were all the sons of Mr and Mrs. Albert Nicholls of Brixton, London. 9707 Private William George Nicholls, born Wandsworth, London; served during the Great War with the 5th Battalion Wiltshire Regiment in the Gallipoli Theatre of War from, 30.6.1915 and was killed in action in the latter Theatre, 10.8.1915; he is commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Turkey. 13745 Private Frank Alfred Nicholls, served during the Great War with the same Battalion as his brother (W.G. Nicholls) and entered the Gallipoli Theatre of War on the same date; discharged, Class Z Reserve, 9.5.1919. 82148 Private Walter Henry Nicholls, born Clapham, London; served during the Great War with "B" Company 26th Battalion Royal Fusiliers; he died of wounds on the Western Front, 14.10.1918 and is buried in the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium.
