Hughes), very fine or better, mounted for display, with Cheltenham Special Constabulary Badge 1917, gilt and enamel (5) Estimate £ 140-180 5985 Private Arthur Reginald Hughes, born Charlton Kings, Cheltenham, 1886; joined the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards, 9.1.1905; served during the Great War with the regiment on the Western Front from, 13.8.1914-13.9.1914, was invalided home on the last date due to contracting rheumatic fever; after the War worked for the Post Office for 34 years (Imperial Service Medal, 1947)
