Hussars.); Khedive´s Star 1882, extremely fine, mounted for display (3) Estimate £ 380-420 Major Quarter Master John White (1834-1922), enlisted 6th Dragoon Guards, 1853; served in the ranks for 15 years and 101 days; served during the Indian Mutiny (1857-58) with the regiment in the Oudh campaign; advanced Honorary Captain and Quarter Master 19th Hussars, 1874; accompanied his regiment to Egypt and commanded the regimental depot at Mahsamah; retired Honorary Major 1887.
