Gds.), good very fine (2) Estimate £ 140-180 Lieutenant Joseph William Locke, born 1896, Canada; enlisted Welsh Guards,12.3.1915; served with the regiment during the Great War in the French Theatre of war, 17.8.1915-14.12.1917; discharged 18.2.1918, to take up a Temporary Commission with the Royal Naval Air Service; Temporary Second Lieutenant 1.4.1918; after initial training posted 76 Wing, 27.5.1918; saw service at Felixstowe Station (Flying Boats), before being posted to Dundee Seaplane Station, 30.12.1918; discharged Honorary Lieutenant 8.3.1919.
