Ingham, 2nd Foot, Severely Wounded at the Storming of Panella, 1844 Ghuznee 1839, unnamed as issued, with original straight bar suspension, and silver riband bar, the reverse of which engraved ´T.I. 574´; 2nd Foot Meritorious Service Cross for 6 Years´ Service, VI incised on obverse, reverse engraved ´Queen´s Royal For Meritorious Service Six Years´, nearly very fine (2) Estimate £ 700-750 574 Private Thomas Ingham, born Wigan, Lancaster, 1807; enlisted in the 2nd Foot, May 1825; served in India and severely wounded in the foot by a gingal ball at the storming of Panella, 1.12.1844; discharged, March 1846, after 20 years and 301 days with the colours, of which 19 years and eight months were spent in India.
