Dalrymple, Ayr & Wigton Mil:), extremely fine and unique to unit Estimate £ 800-1,000 Captain William Robert Elphinstone Dalrymple, born 1.2.1854; Commissioned Lieutenant in the Ayr & Wigton Militia (4th Battalion, Scots Fusiliers), 4.11.1874; Appointed to Reserve of Officers 7.7.1880; Promoted Captain 10.2.1881; Captain Dalrymple died 7.12.1890. The only medal issued to a Militia regiment with this clasp.
