China British Post Office tientsin: 1898 (11 May) envelope addressed to Camberley (folding creases) bearing I.C.P. 10c. tied by a very fine strike of the pa-kua in blue with double-circle Tientsin c.d.s. alongside (Customs removed) with Hong Kong 10c. purple on red tied by Shanghai c.d.s.; the reverse with Shanghai Dollar chop, Hong Kong and arrival c.d.s. Also 1899 picture post card of Tientsin (an early example) registered to Austria "viâ Brindisi" bearing pair of C.I.P. 10c. tied by an indistinct Peking Dollar chop with Hong Kong 10c. purple on red and pair of 2c. carmine tied by Shanghai c.d.s.; the additional 6c. over paying the surcharge for the winter courier service of 4c.
