Maritime Wreck Covers of the World West Indies 1890 (18 Feb.) S.S. "Bergenseren", mule cart washed away while crossing the Houghton River en route from Annotto Bay to Port Maria to meet with the vessel, envelope (stamps floated off) from Kingston "Per Bergenseren" to New York, showing "framed "jamaica.paid" d.s. (22.2) in red applied over where the stamps had been affixed and bearing, on reverse, seven-line explanatory label applied by the Postmaster at the General Post Office after the mail had dried out, and part Kingston and New York Paid All d.s.; the envelope with portion of the flap torn away later and the label with two tears, all possibly caused on opening.
