Maritime Wreck Covers of the World North America 1945 (Jan.-Feb.) unidentified vessel, large envelope (240x165mm., stamps floated off) registered from Conneaut, Ohio to member of the United States Naval Reserve on harbour patrol duty at Pearl Harbour, Hawaii showing "Received in bad condition at ...." and "feb 12 1945" cachets in the same deep violet ink, the envelope accompanied by a seven-line explanatory statement, provided and signed by the recipient stating that "Navy 128" was the code number for the U.S. fleet at Pearl Harbour and that the damage was due to a collision between two cargo ships waiting to come in to the harbour with one ship flooded and with some mail damaged.
