Cape of Good Hope 1865 (28 Oct.) envelope (200x138mm.) from Bombay addressed by Dr. David Livingstone to "Sir Thomas Maclear, Royal Observatory, Cape of Good Hope", headed "On Her Majestys Service", marked "Observation Book from Dr Livingstone 28 Oct 1865", showing Port Elizabeth c.d.s. (7.12) with, on reverse, despatch (in red) and another strike of the Port Elizabeth c.d.s.; the envelope with some light age stains and minor peripheral faults.
