A Guidon of the 10th Light Dragoons A double-sided blue silk guidon of the 5th Troop, the painted centre with the Prince of Wales´s plumes within a Union wreath, flanked by PENINSULA and WATERLOO scrolls, the cartouches alternately containing the Horse and XLD (lacking fringe), 23in. x 35in., in its double-glazed gilt frame See illustration Note: This guidon comes from the Londonderry estate. The Marquess of Londonderry was Colonel of the 10th Hussars from 1820 - 1834, before being appointed to the Colonelcy of the 2nd Life Guards. Estimate £ 1,000-1,500
