An Officer´s Pouch of the 2nd Dragoon Guards A black leather pouch with black velvet flap edged with gold "Vellum" lace and embroidered in gold with VR cypher within an oakleaf wreath See illustration Note: From 1837, pouches and sabretaches of the 2nd and 7th Dragoon Guards became identical for the first time in their facing and lace colours and patterns, their cypher and absence of battle-honours. Some examples of 7th DG accoutrements from this period are differenced by the inclusion of scrolls inscribed PRINCESS ROYAL´S in the embroidery. Estimate £ 250-350
