British Columbia and Vancouver Island British Columbia 1866 (7 Feb.) envelope ex the Simmons correspondence to Elgin County, Canada, bearing 1865-67 3d. light blue strip of three with indistinct numeral obliterators and in combination with United States 1861 10c. green with "cogwheel" cancellation, showing "paid", oval-framed "u.s. 10 cts/paid" in red and fine San Francisco double-ring d.s. for 17 February, the reverse with "general post office/british columbia" double-ring d.s., London C.W. and Aylmer U.C. c.d.s.; the envelope with slight creasing and a little truncated at right though not unattractive.
