Uniforms of the 3rd Carabiniers and other items An officer´s blue mess jacket circa 1957, with yellow cloth collar (fastening with hooks and eyes) and cuffs, both edged with gold oakleaf pattern lace, twisted gold chain gimp shoulder-cords (collar and rank badges removed); a scarlet cloth mess waistcoat , with high collar, edged with gold French braid; a white drill tropical mess jacket, with high collar and attachments for shoulder-chains, edged all round with a double row of narrow yellow cord; a white drill No 3 Dress tunic, with attachments for shoulder-chains, with plain sleeves and fly-fastening to flaps of breast-pockets as for 3rd Carabiniers No 1 Dress (buttons, collar-badges and shoulder-chains missing); a khaki Service Dress tunic with brass regimental buttons to front and breast-pockets (collar badges and some buttons missing), with companion pigskin Sam Browne belt of regimental pattern, with dog-lead attachments for shoulder-brace; a 3rd Carabiniers special pattern Battledress blouse, with leather buttons to front, pockets and shoulder-straps (collar-badges and shoulder-titles missing); a Universal Pattern khaki greatcoat, the collar, cuffs and shoulder-straps edged with yellow piping, brown leather buttons and lieutenant-colonel´s badges of rank in worsted embroidery; an OR´s scarlet cloth stable jacket with yellow velvet collar and cuffs, ten brass 3rd Carabinier buttons in front and twisted gold shoulder-cords (collar-badges missing); a pair of dark blue riding-breeches with wide yellow cloth stripes; a pair of blue barathea overalls with double yellow stripes; a pair of blue trousers with scarlet welts, and an officer´s blue patrol jacket with buttons of the Royal Hampshire Regiment (collar-badges removed, now fitted with hooks for shoulder-chains) (lot) See illustration of first three items Estimate £ 200-300
