1863 1/2r-2r Blue Garcia essays, complete sheet of 110, an extremely rare full sheet in blue, these essays were produced in two colors, the black being considerably more common, and because position 100 is in the correct upright position it is believed the blue was printed later after the correction was made, this full sheet of 110 positions has had the selvage removed to the frames all around and mounted on a card, the card has cracked or chipped away near the corners affecting the top right stamp and causing a tear in the bottom right vertical pair, otherwise fine; actually condition is of little consideration as this is the only sheet that is currently known; at one point there were two sheets recorded in blue, but the other sheet has been lost with its whereabouts unknown and many believe it may have been broke up; extremely rare and a necessary showpiece for an award-winning collection of Bolivia; Scott values the blue at twice the value of the black or $150.00 per impression and a total of $16,500.00 for singles in the sheet.
