Charles I, Salopia (Shrewsbury) mint, Halfcrown, 14.95g., crude figure of king in armour, holding sword upright on horse walking left, horse´s head turned towards viewer with both eyes visible, no mane before, grass on ground below, reads MAG BRI FR ET HI, rev. cruder crowned oval garnished shield, CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO, pellet/annulet stops, m.m. lis on obverse only (JGB 1167 (same obv. die): Allen K-55; N.2609; S.3127) struck on a large irregular oblong flan, weak in parts of legend, the horseman clear, almost very fine, very rare of this type Estimate £ 1,800-2,000
