C-9; N.2487; S.3005) extensive light scratches on both sides, fine, rare Estimate £ 300-400The mintmark on this obverse die has not yet been positively identified, Morrieson suggested an acorn or pear and the former has become adopted, SCBI 33 no.973, note.
