Charles I, group III, Halfcrown, 14.88g., Tower under Parliament, type 3a3, king in armour on horse walking left, of cruder workmanship, cloak flies from king´s shoulder, no ground below, rev. oval garnished shield, m.m. sun (cf. JGB 362; N.2213; S.2778) heavy scratch across reverse, weak in parts, otherwise almost as struck, on an unusually full flan, with a sharp portrait of the king, generally good very fine Estimate £ 150-200
