Edward IV, light coinage, Groats (3), London, (i) 2.73g., type Vc, m.m. rose, trefoils on cusps and on breast, quatrefoils by neck, extra pellet in LON quarter only, (BW Vc, 4 var.; S.2001; N1567); (ii) 2.92g., type Vc, m.m. rose, lis on cusps, nothing on breast, quatrefoils by neck, extra pellet in CIVI quarter, (BW Vc, 3); (iii) 3.13g., type Vd, similar to last but extra pellet in LON quarter, (BW Vd) the first a neat round coin, deeply toned, very fine or better, the second has been cleaned, small edge chip at 1 o´ clock, good fine, the third lightly double struck on obverse, almost very fine (3) Estimate £ 150-200 PROVENANCE: E M Norweb, collection of Edward IV Groats, acquired en bloc by Spink c.1987 Purchased Seaby, January 1990
