Henry VI, Groats (2), London, cross-pellet coinage, (i) 3.74g., group B, crosses IIIb/none, saltire on neck, lis on breast, pellets by crown, mullets after HENRIC and POSVI, rev. extra pellets in TAS and DON quarters, (Whitton 72b; S.1935; N.1517); (ii) 3.76g., similar to the foregoing but no mullet after POSVI and the extra pellets are in the CIVI and LON quarters, (Whitton 72e) the first slightly off-centre, good fine, the second scratched to right of portrait, otherwise an attractive toned coin, very fine (2) Estimate £ 200-250PROVENANCE: (ii) R Carylon-Britton, third collection purchased by Seaby 1959 Baldwin´ s Auction no. 17, 5 May 1998, lot 414
