China Large Dragons Covers 1884 (19 Apr.) opened-out envelope addressed to Hamburg bearing, on the reverse, thick paper 1ca. bright green, 3ca. pale red and 5ca. chrome-yellow cancelled by Chefoo seals in blue with the Customs Chefoo despatch alongside, the 3ca. is tied by Customs Shanghai transit (21/4); the face bears French Peace and Commerce 25c. tied by "shang-hai/chine" c.d.s. with French packet c.d.s. at left. A fine cover fully prepaid at Chefoo. The blue Chefoo seal is particularly scarce on Large Dragon stamps. B.P.A. Certificate (1998).
