China Large Dragons Covers 1883 (27 Jan.) opened-out envelope addressed to New York "Via San Francisco" bearing, on the reverse, wide setting 3ca. brown red, cliché 17 from setting VI or VII with part of the top margin and well tied by Customs Chinkiang c.d.s. with a second strike alongside with faint Customs Shanghai in red, where it was passed to the Japanese Post Office and bears Koban 5s. brown tied by cork cross with type 1 "i.j. postal agency/shanghai" and Yokohama transit alongside (18/2), New York arrival (15/3) on reverse.
