1840 (13 Feb.) entire letter used locally in Manchester, the interior with beautiful embossed Dobbs Patent Valentine´s Day design showing printed/hand-coloured floral surround with gold overlay and central ´puzzle´, which folds out to reveal a ´beehive´ beneath – an outstanding combination; some strengthened splits though in no way detracting from the wonderful appearance of this exhibition showpiece.
