Crime and Punishment Prisons London Various: 1700-1866, the selection of eleven entires/entire letters, a number relating to debtor prisoners including five showing different Belvidere Place handstamps (King´s Bench), other markings from Holborn Hill, Chancery Lane, etc., 1700 and 1720 newspapers – the former with ´The Dying-Speeches, and Behaviour´ of prisoners immediately prior to their executions, the latter campaigning against marriages being held at Fleet Prison, 1819 printed Act of Parliament passed to protect the prisoners of Fleet from their own corrupt and brutal Warden!; an interesting assembly Estimate £ 300-400
