Crime and Punishment Prisons London King´s Bench: 1817-53, entire letters (3) and envelopes (3) showing Receiving House marks associated with the prison: framed ´st. george´s f + s´, framed ´belvide.s ple.´ (two different types, both rare), unframed ´Belvedere Place´ (in black and in blue), also 1813 printed Act of Parliament for ´for Relief for the poor Prisoners confined in the King´s Bench, Fleet, and Marshalsea Prisons´; the entire letters containing pleas for financial assistance, one being headed ´Davey´s Coffee House, Borough´ (the coffee house was actually situated within the confines of the prison), also a contemporary newspaper illustration of the Royal Circus, St. George´s Fields; a fine, rare and most appealing assembly.
