Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society Small Silver Medal, 38mm. (John. H. Barton For Rescuing From A Deep Pond 2 Persons Who Had Fallen Through The Ice Dec. 31.1888), minor edge bruise, otherwise extremely fine, with its silver riband buckle Estimate £ 100-120 ´A Silver Marine Medal and 20 shillings to John H. Barton, carter, for having with great difficulty rescued two persons who, while skating on a pond near St. Helens, on the 31st December 1888, were plunged into deep water through the ice breaking. Barton gallanty jumped in after them, and succeeded in saving them both.
