An Officer´s Tropical Helmet of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders A good Colonial pattern helmet, by JB JOHNSTONE, 84 SACKVILLE STREET, LONDON, covered with white drill, with white buff edging to peaks, complete with brass (probably originally gilt) spike and dome, chin-chain and original leather internal headband with upper lining of red silk, maker´s label and Royal Arms tooled in gold on red leather, and paper label inscribed King/7 (evidence of a puggaree now removed and fitted with a regimental Glengarry badge of modest quality), in its tin case with maker´s plaque and name-plate engraved C.M.
