Wreck Covers 1931 (2 Apr.) "City of Cairo" envelope to Sydney bearing K.G.V 2d. and 2/6d. tied by Edinburgh machine cancellation and carried on the first England-Australia flight; it was intended that this should have been returned on the first Australia-England flight, but the ´City of Cairo´ crashed in the Australian outback. With special Imperial Airways envelope bearing Australia 1/11d. franking (containing the first cover) carried on the second flight. With explanatory note from the sender
