CHRISTOPHER 1885 (18 Mar.) envelope registered to New York, bearing 1885 1/2d. on half 1d. carmine-rose strip of three and a single and 4d. on 6d. green with variety full stop after "pence", all neatly cancelled "A12" and showing oval-framed "R" and St. Kitts c.d.s., two New York registered d.s. on reverse; the envelope with minor faults at top, otherwise a rare and colourful franking paying the correct rate.
