CAPE OF GOOD HOPE 1863-64 De La Rue Issue Covers 1865 (4 Mar.) soldier's envelope from King Williams Town to London, signed by the Commanding Officer and bearing 1d. deep carmine-red with good to large margins and lightly cancelled, showing two different Cape Town c.d.s. and London Paid c.d.s. on face, despatch oval d.s. and two London c.d.s. on reverse; the envelope with a few small faults though a rare usage.
