Rounds -- Lion walking forward; Value stars around and clock vignette. Paper - Green and white. Lion walking forward, encircled by stars at center, printed signature of V.T. Houteff lower right. The Branch Davidians issued scrip in 1 Cent to $10 denominations in the 1930s. The clock vignette on these pieces is close to striking midnight as this group believed the apocalypse and Christ's return was imminent. Continuing the work of the break-away Seventh Day Adventist Victor Houteff, a Bulgarian emigrant to the US, these Branch Davidians were not associated with the later Branch Davidians of David Koresh that were raided by the ATF in 1993.
