Coy., R.E., attd. 9th Corps, Hy. Arty. (Brighton). 'For devotion to duty as motor-cyclist despatch rider during active operations from September to November, 1918. Owing to the number of heavy artillery brigades in the corps during recent operations, the work of despatch riders was exceptionally heavy.'
