Germany. A Westphalian/Prussian Pickelhaube 'Scroll Helmet', of an experimental design supposedly worn by soldiers deployed to Serbia during the Great War. 'Field Grey' felt body with brown leather trim, black chinstrap and grey-painted spike to top, grey 'Scroll Plate' to front bearing number 'R 22', interior with brown leather lining and black ink stamp to front peak, attributed to 'Eberfeld 1916', possibly a later copy.
