Germany. An Other-Ranks 1873-pattern Saxon Infantry 'Pickelhaube'. Black leather skull with brass fixtures and fittings, silver badge applied over winged eagle to front, both cockades present at right and left respectively, thus attributing this example to the 6th Thuringen Infantry Regiment, interior with black leather lining and marked '57 ½' to inside rear peak. Very little 'crazing' to leather skull, thus a good solid and most attractive example.
