Austria. An officers' double eagle 1865-pattern 2nd Hussars shako. Blue cloth body with black leather lacquered top and peak, profusely decorated with gold wire and bullion threads, this indicating the rank of Captain/Hauptmann, complete with gold cap 'lines' and flounders, detachable gold bullion boss to center-front, and black horsehair plume, numeral '2' to left body, interior of brown leather and red silk and marked size '57'. Complete with original black leather carrying case. Generally Good Very Fine. (2)
