Kaiser Wilhelm II. The last German emperor; in the wake of uprisings in Berlin, the mutiny of his beloved Imperial Navy, and revolutionary unrest, Wilhelm abdicated both his imperial and the Prussian titles November 9, 1918, going into exile in the neutral Netherlands the next day. He first settled in Amerongen, then purchased a country house in Doorn which he moved into May 15, 1920. He died there the 4th of June 1941. Autographed Photo Postcard in exile. B&W postcard portrait of a uniformed Wilhelm II facing ¾ right, "Doorn 1-IV-1921". Notation above "Zinn 70". Wilhelm signs below his image in pencil. Matted and in an ornate-bordered frame, 15 ¼ x 19 ¼". A Fine autograph.
