Vittore & Taddea Pavoni. Medal, cast, Ferrara ca. 1463. Bronze, 88mm. Draped bust of Vittore Pavoni right in a coat with embroidered sleeves, wearing a biretta a tozzo, rev. Veiled bust of his wife, Taddea left in an embroidered gown. Armand I, S.30, 9; Börner 37, Kress-; Hill 90. Vittore Pavoni was the ducal chancellor in Ferrara at the court of Borso d'Este. Edges filed around likely due to an old frame fitting; raw edge now concealed by brown paint. Pierced. About Extremely Fine and Rare.
