Aldrin (aviator Edward Eugene, Sr., father of "Buzz") who says he'll be very glad to serve on the Award Committee; 2) One page, March 17, on U.S. Senate letterhead, signed by William G. McAdoo who accepts the NAA invitation to serve on the Collier Committee; 3) One page, July 30, on Pan American Airways letterhead, signed by Juan T. Trippe, President extending his appreciation of the "signal honor" of Pan American be named 1936 awardee confidentially until the official announcement "is made on Friday". Fine. [3]
