1927 Collier Trophy Award. 1) One page, typed on Navy Dept. letterhead, signed by Captain Ernest J. King, Dec. 17, 1928. King tells Senator Bingham he will be happy to serve on the Collier Committee if plans to accompany the Aircraft Squadrons Scouting Fleet to the Keys or perhaps Panama doesn't interfere, with copy of Bingham's letter; 2) One page, typed on Dept. of Commerce letterhead, signed by Clarence M. Young, Director of Aeronautics, Jan 24, 1928. Young tells Porter Adams he cannot make the Committee meeting, with Jan 31, 1928 NAA Press Release noting Charles L. Lawrance is the Collier awardee for 1927; 3) Note signed by W.A Moffett, typed on Bureau of Aeronautics letterhead, Feb. 29, 1928 thanking Adams for invite to the award presentation; 4) One page, typed on Dept. of Commerce letterhead, March 3, 1928, signed by William P. MacCracken, Jr. Asst. Secy for Aeronautics telling Adams he will be delighted to attend the award ceremony; 5) One page, typed on Assistant Secretary of Navy for Aeronautics letterhead, Feb. 29, 1928 signed by aviation pioneer Edward P.
