Italy. Croceria Aerea Del Decennale Medal, 1933. In commemoration of the flight of the Italian Air Armada from Rome to Chicago for the 1933 World's Fair. Silver, 59.3mm. By Publio Morbiducci. Stylized Art Deco head of Italia left, star above, names of route cities below, rev. Eight groups of three planes each flying around upper margin of the medal from the Coliseum to Chicago's skyscrapers, high-relief polar bear at top; REDIT ITALIA PER AETHERA MVSSOLINI DVCE BALBO DVCTORE, Roman numeral date and month in ex, small "800" beneath. Casolari XI-15 (R2). In original F.M. Lorioli & Castelli, Milano case (light dirt stain) with Air Armada emblem on cover. Uncirculated.
